Let us not forget Private First Class Charles Darnell Jr Hicks, casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Army Selective Service, PFC Hicks served our country until March 10th, 1970 in Darlac, South Vietnam. He was 21 years old and was married. Charles died in the line of duty. His body was recovered. Charles was born on July 12th, 1948 in Compton, California.

PFC Hicks is on panel 13W, line 104 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for one year.
