Let us not forget Lance Corporal Edwin Aponte, casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Marine Corps, LCPL Aponte served our country until April 30th, 1967 in Quang Tri, South Vietnam. He was 22 years old and was not married. Edwin died from an undetermined explosion. His body was recovered. Edwin was born on June 3rd, 1944 in Newark, New Jersey.

LCPL Aponte is on panel 18E, line 117 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for 3 years.
