Let us not forget Seaman Apprentice Frederick Allen Wathen, casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Navy, SA Wathen served our country until July 13th, 1966 in Quang Nam, South Vietnam. He was 18 years old and was not married. Frederick died from suffocation. His body was recovered. Frederick was born on October 1st, 1947 in Springfield, Ohio.

SA Wathen is on panel 09E, line 020 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for less than a year.
