First Lieutenant Richard Weaver Piatt

Let us not forget First Lieutenant Richard Weaver Piatt, casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Marine Corps, 1LT Piatt served our country until April 16th, 1967 in Thua Thien, South Vietnam. He was 25 years old and was not married. Richard died from small arms fire/grenade. His body was recovered. Richard was born on June 5th, 1941 in Los Angeles, California.

1LT Piatt is on panel 18E, line 036 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for 3 years.
